About Julie
I grew up in the countryside on a small island in Denmark. Everyone knew each other in our village, all the kids played together, and looking back it felt like every day was sunny.
In 2017 I graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Art and Design and immediately packed my bags and headed to Vancouver, Canada. Since then this has been home and I’ve carved out a wonderful career here as an illustrator, lettering artist, and all-around creative.
My work is full of vibrant colors, often with a heavy sprinkle of grain and texture. I draw on inspiration from nature, poetry, and human connection. My love for typography comes through in bold lettering pieces set in playful type form.
